Last month, Eva, President of PIKO (Pinoy Iskolars sa Korea), asked me to be the director for the visual team for the DMZ Multicultural Docu Film Festival on Sept 23, 2012, to be held in Paju City.
The task is to do the animation / video background for the 2 units of 25ft LED screen for the said event. There are more than 20 production numbers, so there’s a lot of work to do. Good thing, I was able to convince my friends who share the same passion to volunteer for this project.
Yesterday, we had our first meeting : brain storming, conceptualization.
I filed a vacation leave today. Just wanting to rest for the day, drop by the salon for a hair cut. Nothing really special planned to spend the day.
I was just surfing the net this morning when my manager sent me this photo through kakaotalk messenger. Saying that “Raechelle, you’re on TV” :
This was the interview we did last month. I was lucky to be chosen among the 111 foreign employees in LG Headquarters.
It was an interview about LG life as a foreigner. I was only on my 5th month in the company, so I was really glad to be given a chance to share what I think about the company, our team, and what I have learned so far in HQ.
Here are some clips from the video.
Thank you LGCC!
I am not sure if this is a Korean invention or not. I just find it very smart. It eases your trouble of going through the clothes display, finding your right size by looking at the clothes’ tag. thumbs up!
Last October 2011, an EBS (a TV network in Korea) writer was looking for a Filipino for their Korean Language learning show,” EBS_함께하는 한국어.”
Since she’s also a freelancer, she asked other TV staff/writers from other networks, until she got my name and contact number from a staff from Arirang Top Talent (a talent contest that I was part of… and luckily won last April 2011)
My final semester in CUK was too busy for me to search for that particular episode, or even wait for it to be on TV. So I didn’t see it . But this morning, our friend Marnel, tagged me on facebook, with this snapshot!
I'm on TV.. kkk ! Thanks Marnel for this photo
but still, I didn’t get to watch it.. hahaha, I totally forgot about it already. haha. But, it was a good experience, I got to practice my korean language skill, and take note, that episode was for 중급3 (Level 3)! ㅋㅋㅋ
One of the hosts of the show, is no other than, MS. JASMINE LEE!
Yesterday, we went to Mannam Korean Cafe in Yeokgok. Some volunteers sang some songs, and after that they asked if any of the students there can sing, so my friends were shouting my name, so hahahaha
I can grant requests hahaha ㅋㅋ
