Flipped (2010)

I’ve been “Flipped”. I  watched it. It made me cry. Sadness? Joy? Perhaps both. Yeah, why are people hiding what they really feel? Why can’t we admit that we still care for a particular person, although they’ve hurt us? I like Juli’s character. Two 8-graders just taught me a lesson.

I like the director’s style of presenting the story in 2 perspectives. 1) Brice’s perspective (lead boy) and 2) Juli’s perspective. But you won’t be bored because scenes were presented in different shots or camera angles. So it is still interesting to watch the scenes once more while hearing the voice of Juli or Brice. I’ve seen some young love movies, like Little Manhattan in 2005. But Flipped is better.

5 out of 5 Philippines’ Dried Mangoes for this movie!
